How does the Hidden slot work?

This slot has no less than 178 ways to win. You create winning combinations when paying symbols appear next to each other. It’s not a classic ‘win all ways’ slot, yet there are more ways to win than most other online slots.

The game is played on a field of 5 reels with 4 symbols per reel. You pay a fixed bet per spin that starts at only $€ 0.20 and can be increased up to $€ 100 per spin.

The theoretical payout rate is set at 96.3%, and the variance is medium. As a result, you get a lot of playing time for your money, while at the same time, you can win attractive prizes. The maximum award is 215,000 coins.

Symbols and payouts

The symbols appear in stacked form, which occasionally makes for a bunch of winning combinations. The premium symbols are grandfather, the explorer, assistant (grandson?), the Sphinx and the camel. The grandfather symbol pays out the most: 5 identical symbols on an active payline yield 10 x your total bet. The young explorer is worth 5 x your total bet, and the camel and sphinx symbol have to make do with 3 x and 2 x the total bet, respectively.

The card deck symbols 10, J, Q, K and A are worth slightly more or less than 1 x your total bet.

Betting strategies

As with any Elk Studios slot, you can choose to play with a betting strategy. The bottom line is that you can have the slot bet for you according to pre-programmed strategies.

Hidden has two excellent bonus features, both of which can considerably grow your bank account.

Flashback Respins

Sometimes the screen seems to get stuck, and suddenly you’re reminded of those stacked wilds that you got on the middle reels before. Oh right, it was the Flashback Respins! This bonus feature is randomly activated and always gets you three free spins.

During these free spins, 1, 2 or 3 sticky stacked wilds will appear on the middle reels. If you can turn all 3 of the middle reels wild, you have landed at least three spins in a row, a Super Big Win.

So far, we have not been able to turn more than two reels wild, which already resulted in a nice payout.

The Treasure Room Free Spins

This bonus is activated when three magnifying glasses appear on the screen. This awards you 5 free spins with one special symbol. This special symbol expands on the screen and stays there. What follows is a free respin; hopefully, the special symbol lands you big prizes.

Our verdict on the Hidden slot

Elk Studios doesn’t release all too many slots. The ones they do produce, however, are without exception original and of high quality. Bloopers, Ivanhoe and Sam on the Beach are other entertaining games from Elk Studios.
