TikiPop – AvatarUX continues making lovely PopWins slots

AvatarUX is best known for the PopWins slots, and TikiPop is their fourth release.

TikiPop has many similarities with the CherryPop PopWins slot, but there are some subtle differences.

I love this slot, as the Mayan theme is so colourful and helps you get into a good Summer holiday mood.

AvatarUX’s PopWins slots are exciting and offer lots of win potential.

It works straightforwardly: a winning symbol “pops,” and you’ll see two symbols instead of one in the next free re-spin.

It allows the reels to expand up to 7(!) symbols in the free spins. The number of win ways increases up to 33,614 (2x7x7x7x7x7=33,614).

Like the other PopWins slots, we’re talking about slots with a brutal win potential. The max win is 32,000x the bet, making it a high variance slot.

Okay, the max win is not as high as PopRocks (72,000x) or the BountyPop WinPops slot (55,000x), but I guess you won’t complain if you land the maximum win with this slot!

Gameplay and Features

Like the other PopWins slots, the slot starts with a 5×3 setup. Thanks to the PopWins feature, the reels can expand up to 5 symbols (“5-high”) in the base game and 7 symbols (“7-high”) in the free spins bonus game.

PopWins slots work like win all-ways slots, and you can win both ways (i.e. from left to right and also from right to left).

In the main game, you can have up to 6250 win ways, calculated as 2x5x5x5x5x5=6250.

The high paying symbols are Blue, Purple, Green, Orange and Pink Mayan symbols, and the lows are the J, Q, K and A.

The Golden Diamond is the so-called “super-high” paying symbol. 

How do you win the free spins?

You win 7, 11 or 15 free spins if you manage to spin 3, 4 or 5 Scatters.

Alternatively, you buy 7 free spins with the Bonus Buy feature for the price of 100x the initial bet.

As with the other PopWins slots, you can use the Gamble Wheel to win more free spins. It’s possible to increase free spins from 7 to 11 and afterwards from 11 to 15. 

The free spins

The free spins have two key advantages:

• Reels can become 7-high (rather than 5-high), thereby increasing the number of win ways to 33,614
• You benefit from an increasing total multiplier (which is applied to the win). It starts at x1 but increases by +1 after each win. It can increase by +2 if all the reels are 7-high.

If all reels are 7-high, you gain an additional 2-4 free spins!

If you want to win big, you need to build up a high multiplier at the start (it matters if you’ve 15 rather than 7 free spins). If you get a big win at the end, with a vast multiplier, you’re talking about an epic, but an epic win!
